After studying a famous person and writing a biography on them, the class drew portraits and wrote speeches telling about the facts they learned. We then used those pictures in an app called ChatterPix and brought our portraits to life! Check them out here!

D.A.S.H.
The second grade had an awesome time learning all about vision impairment and blindness. We have done so many activities that have helped us get a true sense of what it must be like to be blind. From walking blindfolded with a cane to using a Braille typewriter and stylus, the hands on experiences are ones that we will not forget. A big thank you to the parents who helped run the program and to all of the parent volunteers who came in to assist!
Famous People Paper Dolls
Recently the children created a paper doll of the famous person that they studied. They came out beautifully and we can't wait for you to see them at Open House!
