Life cycle observations

We were so excited that our caterpillars arrived last week! By Monday several of them already transformed into chrysalides, and we have been watching the rest of them change right in front of our eyes. It has been fascinating to watch these little creatures change. Click here to watch the life cycle of the butterfly.

    I predict it will take 7 days for it to turn into a butterfly.

    I think complete metamorphosis will take about 6 to 8 days. Elias

    I think the chysalis' will turn into butterflies in 10-11 days total.

    I predict that it will take 5 to 7 days for the life cycle to be complete.

    Well my friends, it looks like it took about 11 days for our little butterflies to emerge from their chrysalides. Excellent predictions!!
